Mission
Promotes equity, lifelong education and positive societal change for
all women and girls. In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a
diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in
this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation,

History
The American Association of University Women (AAUW), founded in 1881,

and the advancement of women through education. The Rockland County Branch
(formerly New City Branch) was formed in 1962. It was the 54th branch in
New York State. Currently we have about 65 members.
