What we do

LSNY provides free one-to-one tutoring for adults in your community who need help in reading, writing, and/or speaking English.

LSNY offers face-to-face and on-line training to adult volunteers who want to become tutors.

LSNY provides assistance to those who seek to become American citizens. For info call Jane Lemkin at (845) 558-4488.

LSNY provides classroom based instruction, supplemented by social support to students and their families, at our Literacy Zones in Rockland County in both Haverstraw and at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley and in Westchester County both in Yonkers and Ossining.
