Plan on being in attendance February 22, 1998, 1-30 PM at the historic Lafayette Theater when Rockland County launches its year long Bicentennial Celebration with a star studded Opening Day Gala.
In what promises to be an historic event, stars such as Barry Bostwick and Alan Ruck of Spin City, John Johnson and Edward James Almos will take us on a journey through the fascinating lives and events which make up the history of Rockland County.
Interwoven throughout this captivating presentation will be period music performed by a Symphony Orchestra and local choral groups along with an extraordinary visual backdrop of archival photographs.
Adding to the overall ambience of the experience will be the Lafayette Theater itself. The Lafayette which hearkens to the days of silent movies is listed historically beside such famous theaters as Hollywood's Grauman's Theater and the Paramount and Roxy theaters in New York.
Admission will be by ticket only. There will be no tickets available the day of the performance.
